Nearby Cities and Attractions
Ledgestone RV Resort puts you right in the middle of some of the best scenery and attractions in Central Texas. Between the sparkling waters of Canyon Lake, the laid-back atmosphere of San Marcos, the German heritage of New Braunfels, and the shopping in Wimberley, whatever direction you drive, you’ll find something new to explore.
And when you’re ready to unwind, Ledgestone gives you the peace and comfort of home, surrounded by Texas Hill Country beauty.

Canyon Lake, TX
Locals call it “The Jewel of the Hill Country” because the water here is so clear (like, you can see the rocks under your kayak kind of clear). Spend the day boating, fishing for striped bass, or picnicking at Overlook Park with those incredible lake views. If you’re more of a hiker, the Madrone Trail winds through cedar and oak with perfect views around every corner. And when the sun drops, the lakeshore turns into one of the best sunset spots in the region.

San Marcos, TX
About half an hour east, San Marcos has that “college town that never really grew up” energy in the best way. You can float down the San Marcos River straight through town, stop for tacos on the square, and still make it back in time for live music at Cheatham Street Warehouse. The outlets might be the biggest draw for some, but half the fun here is just wandering the old streets and discovering a patio with good food, cold beer, and even better people-watching.

New Braunfels, TX
New Braunfels is where German roots intertwine with Texas spirit: bratwurst, biergartens, and all. You can tube the Comal River one day and dance at Gruene Hall the next (it’s the oldest dance hall in Texas, and still one of the best). Don’t skip the farmers market or a stop by Naegelin’s Bakery! It’s been around since 1868 and smells like heaven from half a block away. And if you’re here in the summer, between Schlitterbahn, live music, and river floats, this little city knows how to throw a good time.

Wimberley, TX
Wimberley is where we send people who want a slower Hill Country day without a lot of planning. The Square has a mix of shops and locally owned spots that are fun to browse. Blue Hole is the place everyone asks about in the summer, and even outside of swim season the whole park is a nice break from town. There’s also a strong creative side to Wimberley, and you’ll see it in the small studios, markets, and weekend events that pop up around the area.

Blanco, TX
Blanco is a great choice for visitors looking to enjoy the Texas Hill Country at an easy, unhurried pace. The town has a welcoming feel with local shops, casual dining, and plenty of open space to explore without feeling rushed. Outdoor spots along the river offer a refreshing break, while nearby wineries and scenic drives add to the laid-back experience. It’s the kind of place where a simple afternoon turns into a full day of relaxed exploring and enjoying the surroundings.

Seguin, TX
Seguin, TX, is a welcoming Central Texas town that offers a great mix of outdoor recreation, local flavor, and relaxed small-town charm. Visitors can enjoy time by the river, explore green spaces, and discover unique dining and wine experiences throughout the area. The laid-back atmosphere makes it easy to explore at your own pace without the rush of a big city. Guests staying at Ledgestone RV Resort appreciate the short drive to town and the comfort of returning to spacious, full hookup RV sites after a day out.
